ADCO Asab Field Pilot Project Summary
ADCO Asab Field Data Transmission Block Diagrams Phase II
The original scope included wireless instrumentation of six flowing and gas-lifted
oil wells in the Asab field, Abu Dhabi. Key features of the three phases were as
follows:
Phase I
- Monitoring of six gas-lifted and naturally flowing oil wells.
- Use of Zencus Mono Transmitters to monitor; wellhead pressure, wellhead temperature, flowline pressure, gas injection pressure and casing pressures.
- Use of GSM/GPRS modems for in-field data transmission over distances of 3 - 7 km.
- Remote real-time data visualization via the ADCO Intranet.
- Monitoring of five Cathodic Protection systems and wireless transmission of data.
- Interface with third-party equipment via RS232 link.
- Monitoring of Sub-Surface Safety Valve (SSSV) hydraulic pressure and status.
ADCO Asab Field Data Transmission Block Diagrams Phase III
- Remote monitoring of three Water Injection Wells.
